This sounds like a spin off of the throttle. Bodies that were on the old Nissan Stanza. There is a guy around this way I will not name he works at his house but use to work for Infiniti and Nissan race team that use to modify the VG plenum so the would mount up and then dyno tune the cars. It was from what he said a slight increase in power but he would as do other mods to their Z so that the cost of the dyno tune would be more worth it. He also mention was not really something you want to do unless you had upgraded injectors, piping, intercoolers, and turbos. Which I could be wrong but meant a waste unless had already upgraded a fair amount of engine parts on your Z. Just my 2 cents
